Pokémon Go Community Day in August

Rumors are already circulating about which Pokémon will head the Pokémon Go Community Day in August as Niantic is expected to announce it soon.

With the Community Day of July already over, it is almost certain that we will return to a non-initial Pokémon for August. Since the days of the Pokémon Go community began in January 2018, the odd months have featured initial Pokémon, while even the months have not.

As August is, of course, an even month, we can expect something different for the eighth day of the 2019 community. This means that, unlike this month, where Mudkip was guessed well in advance, August could cause a shock.

August Community Day Date

The wait for the next day of the community is not long at all, two weeks to be precise, on August 3. This is the shortest time between the days of the Pokemon Go community there has been.

Since they are only two weeks away, don’t expect Niantic to keep your ad. In fact, the August elected could be announced as soon as today, July 22.

What Pokémon will head August?

The beauty of community days is that nobody really knows who the protagonist will be, which provides an element of surprise when announced.

Ralts

The most likely contender would apparently be Ralts. Ralts had been speculated in February, April and June as well, but obviously this never materialized.

Ralts also marks a couple of key boxes to head Pokémon. First of all, it is a three-stage evolutionary Pokémon, which is something that all community Pokémon have had, with the exception of Pikachu and Eevee. In addition to this, one of his final evolutions, Gallade, evolves using a Sinnoh stone, something that Niantic will want to encourage the coaches to use.

Trapinch

Trapinch is another contender. Like Ralts, the earth-type Pokémon had leaned to head the previous events.

Trapinch may seem relatively harmless, but his final evolution Flygon certainly is not, which is another reason why he could be selected to head August.

Gible

A Pokémon that has not been rumored before is Gible. The Pokémon Gen 4 was only presented in March 2019, as part of the generation’s release, and is a fan favorite of Pokemon Go trainers.

One day of the Gible community would generate a large advertising display and also allow coaches to obtain a Garchomp that has good overall statistics. With a powerful exclusive movement, it could be a Pokémon that offers many benefits in battles.

August bonuses

The bonuses are an integral part of the Pokemon Go community days and it is not too difficult to predict that the three-hour bait modules will be one of them. They have been present in every October community day since 2018.

The other bonuses are more difficult to predict, although two consecutive months have yet to provide the same. This means that x3 capture experience is unlikely, but judging by the pattern set in 2019, it is most likely x3 star dust per capture.

July Community Day took place between 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm local time, and as August is still the peak of summer, the same times could be used again.
